Back in 2008 it was still possible to see Conrail painted stuff on the point of trains. I was also becoming active in the CRHS, and these were both good reasons to head to Harrisburg PA for the day.

A Pair of SD60Is at Enola — There are a few spots along River Road between Enola and Marysville that let you get views like this. Of course, it’s only LUCK (and a time machine) that will let you catch a blue SD60I there. Here they’re on the “ramp” between the coal yard and the main classification area.

An NS GEVO Barreling East With a PP&L Coal Train — I forget the exact location, but here an almost new ES40DC is charging east with a loaded Pennsylvania Power & Light unit coal train.

Eastbound at BANKS — An NS Dash9 and SD70M-2 are bringing an eastbound manifest past CP Banks in Marysville. It looks like some railfan doesn’t care about the threat of a trespassing ticket and met him at the signal bridge.

The Amtrak Pennsylvanian makes a trip along NS’s Pittsburgh Line once a day in each direction. Here it is heading west in the afternoon behind the usual P42.
