What’s better than doing some trick or treating with a steam engine? Getting to go do it with a friend! 2020 has seen a real deficit of social railfanning. Luckily, the W&W is in my friend Dave’s back yard and he was just getting off of work when the chase was on.
Steam
A Sunday on the Strasburg, July 2017
The Strasburg Rail Road is a national treasure, and every once in a while I must go there to “center myself”. Maybe it’s because I went a lot when I was a kid, but it’s always loomed large in my mind of what a railroad is and should be. I recently made a pilgrimage, and while my photographic and video output wasn’t as amazing as I’d have wanted, I like to think it’s worth checking out.
Spring Trip to Strasburg

The 2015 N Scale Weekend Trip To Cumberland
The Bedford (now Altoona) N Scale Weekend is a great event. The show itself has always been interesting, but it also serves as a good excuse to get out to a fun part of the world and do some railfanning. I did that exact thing this with my friends Ben, Lee and Josh.
April 2014 Trip To Strasburg
I’ve loved Strasburg since I was a kid. In fact, I can almost directly attribute my current railfan and modeling hobbies to monthly trips there when I was young. The spring is a great time to visit, and here are some photos from my recent trip.
