Good Timing at Cove PA

There’s an old adage of “I’d rather be lucky than good”.  This held true for me on the day after the 2014 Spring CRHS Rail-B-Q when I was driving out Route 11/15 to go meet up with my friends for a day out in Central PA.

I took the scenic route: driving past Enola, through Marysville and along the NS Pittsburgh Line. This paid off, because I saw a headlight as I approached the famous Cove parking lot.

I quickly dove into the parking lot, fumbled for my camera and squeezed off an exposure, catching the train just as a few fellow railfans did the same.
