Martin State at Night in May of 2014

I’ve long enjoyed railfanning at night. Usually the pictures don’t turn out that great, but it’s fun to just hang out and see things you might not otherwise see.  Occasionally you get lucky and something stops long enough for you to get a photo. I did just that in May of 2014 at the Martin State Airport MARC station.

Before it got completely dark, I also got to shoot a couple of Amtrak trains. First a regular “Northeast Direct” clocker, and then an Acela.

I also went to another MARC station, hoping to catch some action, but nothing showed up before I had to head home. It still looked pretty cool though.
