NS on the Middle Division, June 2017

Summer sucks. It’s too hot to railfan. But are we smart enough to not? Absolutely not. So, on the hottest day of the year so far, we set out for an afternoon on the NS Pittsburgh Line, and I shot some stills and video.

First the video.

And some photos.

NS Oil train with some CN units (hidden, of course) crossing Sherman’s Creek at CP Cannon.
The Amtrak Pennsylvanian switching from track 2 to 1 at CP Cannon.
Going away shot of the Pennsylvanian under the soon to be gone Pennsy Position Light bridge.
Eastbound stacks at Newport.
Different eastbound stacks a Port.
Inbound manifest train at Enola.
Busy day? Not really…
